Updates on the application processing times in the OINP

Ontario updated application processing times in the OINP

Ontario updated the average processing time in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on January 13, 2022.

As of now, the processing time for the following OINP stream is 30-60 days.

The processing time for Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream was also 60-90 days. The Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are still assessed within less than 30 days in the Entrepreneur Stream, while the application process is based on the complexity of the business nominations.

Processing times vary depending on the stream. Therefore, applications that require clarification or more information take longer to process. So, if your application takes longer than the estimated processing time, there is no need to contact the program. They will contact you if more information is required.

Keep in mind that, when an applicant is nominated for permanent residence by the OINP, they must then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The final decision on how to get a permanent residence depends on IRCC.
