New Brunswick plans to be the top vacation destination in Atlantic Canada
New Brunswick announced its five-year strategic plan on April 4, 2022, aimed at making it the choice of tourists and the perfect place to live and build a business for New Brunswickers.
New Brunswick focused on strategic growth opportunities to reach its 10-year goal to grow the province’s population by 25,000. The CEO of Envision Saint John, a regional growth agency, Paulette Hicks, says tourism is a serious economic driver on its own because every visitor to the province is also "a potential new student, resident, business owner or investor."
The department will implement its strategy together with its partners by:
A master storytelling initiative which will use marketing efforts to feature New Brunswick residents showcasing pride in their communities
Delivering authentic experiences which are unique to the province
Fostering a strong sense of pride of place by highlighting the unique character of the province’s communities
New Brunswick's marketing strategy includes a series of campaigns aimed at different audiences and seasons, but with a common goal of showing tourists that the province is the top vacation destination in Atlantic Canada.
