New Brunswick announced its support for Ukrainians
The Office of the Premier of New Brunswick announced its support for Ukraine on March 16, 2022.
According to Premier Blaine Higgs, there are more than 3,500 New Brunswick residents who possess Ukrainian descent or were born in Ukraine. The province is ready to welcome Ukrainian refugees and help those who are still in Ukraine.
New Brunswick has already donated $100,000 to the National Bank of Ukraine to support Ukrainians who face violence in the illegal and unjustified war imposed by Russia. The province supports all sanctions the federal government is taking against Russia for the invasion, which began February 24, 2022.
