Passport renewals and orders for Canadians who plan to travel abroad have faced unprecedented challenges in recent months.
The passport offices are rushed with people who are waiting long hours in lines to get the service. The Federal government even stated about the creation of a special "task force to improve government services", which also includes passport services.
According to CTV News, on June 30, ESDC issued a tender for 535 armrest-free chairs and 266 chairs with armrests which will allow passport services aspirants to sit more comfortably while waiting to be served. The public reaction to such an "improvement" of services is ambiguous.
