Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round for the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) on March 17, 2022.
The province invited 130 skilled workers in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams to apply in its third round of the year. PEI also invited 11 candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream. The lowest score for business candidates was 62 points, 5 points fewer than it was in the February draw.
In 2021, Prince Edward Island issued 1,854 invitations, including 157 invitations to business candidates. This year, PEI invited 396 candidates. The next PEI PNP draw is scheduled for April 21, 2022.
For the Express Entry of PEI category, candidates in the federal pool are considered for provincial nomination. The provincial nominations add 600 points to a candidate's CRS or Comprehensive Ranking System score. Candidates who apply for a PNP are more likely to receive an ITA.
There are two paths to Canadian permanent residence in this category. One is for applicants with a job offer, and the other is for applicants without a job offer.
