Newfoundland and Labrador organizes information sessions on the AIP for newcomers and employers

The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) of Newfoundland and Labrador announced on January 5, 2022 that the province will hold a series of information sessions starting on January 11, 2022.

In total, four information sessions for employers will be conducted. These four sessions will be two during the daytime hours and two during the evening hours. The sessions are only for Newfoundland and Labrador-based employers and prospective newcomers to the province.

Due to the limited spaces available, those who are not considering Newfoundland and Labrador as their province of destination in Canada are not required to register for the sessions.

The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism put efforts to help employers gain a better understanding of the new program. After registering for the session, you will receive a WebEx invitation from the OIM.

As a result of this program, Newfoundland and Labrador employers have been able to fill their employment needs. In addition, it has contributed to immigrant retention, with nearly 85% of principal applicants choosing to remain in the province.
