Immigrate to Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
The Federal Skilled Worker (Express Entry) program is designed for skilled workers with foreign work experience aiming to become permanent residents of Canada. This program evaluates candidates based on their skilled work experience, language proficiency, and educational background.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet minimum requirements in three key areas:
Skilled Work Experience
Must be in one of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) job groups: Managerial jobs (skill type 0), Professional jobs (skill level A), or Technical jobs and skilled trades (skill level B). Your experience should be in the same NOC as your primary occupation, within the last 10 years, paid, and amount to at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours.
Language Ability
Applicants are required to take approved language tests in English or French covering writing, reading, listening, and speaking, achieving a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in all four abilities.
Education
You must have a certificate, diploma, or degree from a Canadian institution or a foreign credential and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from a designated organization, proving your education is equivalent to Canadian standards.
